Sunday, May 15 in Winnipeg, Manitoba 4:00 p.m.
Sunday, May 22 at First Lutheran Church, Duluth 3:00 p.m.

Composed by Sergei Rachmaninoff just prior to the Soviet Revolution, these once-banned a capella choral chants reflect the traditional Russian Orthodox Church’s All Night Vigil service in an innovative and invigorating way.

Be spellbound and deeply moved during these rare performances as distinguished Russian-born Guest Conductor Yuri Klaz skillfully blends the 100+ voices and talent of The Winnipeg Singers, Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir and Arrowhead Chorale in what is anticipated to be a brilliant collaboration and presentation of this timeless piece.

The Chorale will first travel to Winnipeg, Manitoba for the initial performance on Sunday, May 15. Then, the following Sunday, May 22, the much anticipated second concert will commence at 3:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Duluth. The May collaboration represents a growing tradition and is the 7th time that Dr. Stanley Wold, Artistic Director for the Arrowhead Chorale and Yuri Klaz have worked together in an international exchange of artistic talent that brings an exquisite and exceptional level of choral music performance to both the Winnipeg and Duluth communities.

In addition to all three groups performing the Rachmaninoff Vespers, the Arrowhead Chorale and The Winnipeg Singers will perform separate, individual pieces.

We do hope you will join us!
