Join us for an evening of works by Minnesota Composer, Craig Carnahan, including the premiere of a work commissioned by and for Arrowhead Chorale.  Mr. Carnahan is also collaborating with Arrowhead Chorale to facilitate a rare and exciting composition contest for composers early in their careers, providing them the opportunity to have their work performed by our ensemble. Join the Arrowhead Chorale for an exciting concert with the renowned Monroe Crossing! The highlight of our joint program is the Mortals and Angels: a Bluegrass Te Deum, composer Carol Barnett's follow-up piece to The World Beloved: A Bluegrass Mass. This performance is the Minnesota premiere and will blend the classical mass, modern choral sophistication, touching poetry and traditional bluegrass instrumentation into exhilarating music.

Be spellbound and deeply moved during our May concert series as distinguished Guest Conductor Yuri Klaz skillfully blends the 100+ voices and talent of the Arrowhead Chorale, The Winnipeg Singers and Winnipeg Philharmonic Choir in an anticipated brilliant performance of the Rachmaninoff Vespers.

This collaborative effort represents a growing tradition and is the 7th time that Dr. Stanley Wold, Artistic Director for the Arrowhead Chorale and Yuri Klaz have worked together in an international exchange of artistic talent that brings an exquisite and exceptional level of choral music performance to both the Winnipeg and Duluth communities.  

First, the Chorale will travel to Winnipeg, Manitoba for the initial performance on Sunday, May 15. Then, the following Sunday, May 22, the much anticipated second concert will commence at 3:00 p.m. at First Lutheran Church in Duluth.

In addition to all three groups performing the Rachmaninoff Vespers, the Arrowhead Chorale and The Winnipeg Singers will also perform separate, individual choral pieces.

Holiday Concert at The Depot
“An Elizabethan Dinner”

Join us for a festive Elizabethan Holiday Dinner, set in the Depot Great Hall. The year is 1540, and Lord and Lady Snowstorm invite you to celebrate the season of light and hope with us! A festive four course meal, music, dance and drama await you.

Saturday, Dec. 15 at 6:30 PM; and Sunday, Dec. 16 at 1:00 PM
Tickets $65 for Saturday and $45 for Sunday.  Reservations required.

The Chorale At First Lutheran Church

Accompanied by orchestra and organ, the Arrowhead Chorale performs at First Lutheran Church. Requiems celebrate and remember the full lives of loved ones lost in the last year.

Our mission is to bring fine performances of distinctive vocal ensemble literature to the Arrowhead Region of Minnesota, Northern Wisconsin, and beyond. Our repertoire spans five centuries of Western Music traditions - sacred and secular, folksong and art song, opera chorus and vocal jazz, music with humorous texts and occasional full operetta performances.
